Which is the fastest underwater scooter?
How many Watt does the fastest underwater scooter go for and which is its product name? PS: How many air tanks can a scuba diver carry on his shoulder and could the air last approximately two hours all together? If a diver is diving in daylight, how many meters below surface must he dive to become invisible from people above the surface?

I'm not sure about what the fastest scooter is, but I can tell you that if you were trying to remain undetected to people on the surface, you would need to use a rebreather. Breathing from scuba tanks would make you obvious to anyone above. With regards to the depth you would need to be at to be undetected, it is entirely dependent on the visibility (water clarity). For very muddy river water, a foot or two underwater would ensure invisibility. However, for very clear water in someplace like in the tropics, there is no possible depth a diver could safely reach where he would be totally invisible. Hope that answers your question.

Do they rent underwater scooters in Cabo San Lucas?
the only rental I have found on line was in Cozumel. Is this true? I wanted to do this in Cabo or Cancun.

Oceanus conducts tours for Snorkeling, Whale Watching, Mini Sub, Sunset Cruise, Golden Coast Cruise, Night Adventure Cruise. They are the only ones I know of with the mini subs: http://www.oceanusloscabos.com.mx/eng/index.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7-ekOWq6Tg

Can i run a 24 volt motor underwater?
I got this motor off of an electric scooter. I want to build an underwater fan i could hold onto for swimming purposes. It will be used in fresh water (much less conductive). I have run small dc motors underwater without a problem. I just want to know for sure before i sacrifice my big motor. it is a carbon brushed dc motor. i mean moto submerged. no protective coating or stuff. ok ill give a better descripotion of the motor. there are no holes or vents. just the wires coming out and the shaft. if i silicone the wire openings and then varnish the seals, should it work? im only going to use this thing in about five feet of water. and the batteries would not shock you because u are not the shortest path to ground. seald lead acid batteries would work.

The motor you describe would not run under water without a serious water tight housing. And "sacrifice" is the word. It would not last very long. There are 12 and 24 volt DC motors that are designed for under water use. Look for a used trolling motor at a pawn shop.

What are the most worth wild water excursions to do at St. Thomas?
We are going to St. Thomas next mth. First time cruise. We are thinking of doing the snuba trip, the Boss under water scooter thing and a few others. I am reading that some of these excursions have very short underwater time. Any input that you might have would be greatly appreciated. We are looking to do an ex. with a lengthy time actually snorkeling, with the best fish etc. to see.

I just came back from my cruise to the Caribbean and St. Thomas is beautiful! You guys are really going to have a ton of fun. Being that you will be on a cruise, I'm assuming that you will stop at more than one port so you will have plenty of time to do water-activities. I recommend: 1.) Discover Scuba Diving: Basically, scuba diving for beginners or if you have scuba dived before but don't have a license or permit. It's really fun, easy and we saw amazing coral, fish, and lobsters. We were down in the water for a little less than an hour. 2.) Jetskiing! Definitely the most exhilarating thing I have ever done. I highly recommend this if you have the bravery and the desire to get your adrenaline rushing. However, I do not recommend you buy this shore excursion from the cruise ship. They usually overcharge you. We went to Magen's Bay, which is beautiful by the way, and we paid $28 per person. We get there and we ask a local shuttle bus to find out that it costs only $8 per person! It can be a little ridiculous. There are many other water activities such as water skiing, kayaking, snorkeling, etc. that are also wonderful. You d
