Did you know that all sorts of crazy underwater cities have been discoverd?
There is one off the coast of Cuba, one off the coast of Japan, and supposedly in the bahamas and South America. I read there is a city underwater off the coast of spain. Look it up "underwater cities" in google.

Yes, a lot of them ended up under the ocean, due to ancient earthquakes and tsunamis. The same will happen on the coast of California, one day when their is a mass earth shift on the ring of fire and the San Andreas Fault collapses. Causing many global tsunamis which will create more global under water cities.

Were the Bahama Islands formed from coral or are they the tops of underwater mountains?
If the some of the islands in the bahamas are one kind and the others the other kind could you please give me a link that tells which is which. Please dumb it down.

The formation of the Bahamas is complex and did indeed start with mountains and the coral was another stage in their formation. It was later affected by sea levels. Here is some info I found for you on the web: Geological History The Bahamas are low, carbonate islands that rest on two large bank systems, with water depths of less than 10 m. The Little Bahama Bank is in the northern Bahamas; the Great Bahama Bank extends from central to southwestern Bahamas. The remaining islands are isolated small platforms beginning at 24°N latitude in the eastern Bahamas and extending to Navidad Bank just north of Haiti. These shallow seas give the Bahamas its name, from the Spanish "Baja Mar." The bank systems are separated from each other by a deep water basin, with depths up to 4,000 m. The origin of the Bahamas is still controversial. The archipelago may be the result of plate tectonics activity 200 million years ago, forming as a horst graben (Mullins and Lynts, 1977), or it may be the remnant of a much larger platform (Meyerhoff and Hatten, 1974). It is generally accepted that these banks originated at a latitude with warm, shallow waters that encouraged the growth of a variety of marine organisms whose skeletal remains were deposited as sediments. The weight of these sediments caused subsidence as deposition continued, developing carbonate deposts which, at present, reach a thickness of more than 5.4 km (Meyerhoff and Hatten, 1974). The islands are all less than 61 m above sea level; the highest elevation on San Salvador is 37.5 m, atop one of the ridges on the east side of Flamingo Pond (Shaklee, 1994). The Bahama Platform became exposed during sea-level lowstands as a result of four major glacial advances during the Pleistocene. Winnowed eolianite dunes formed during these periods and became lithified after flooding, thus forming the islands. During the interglacial stages, weather altered the landscape into karst formations of caves, sink holes, and solution pits. These conduits honeycomb the islands. Because of the great porosity of the limestone, water from rainfall and runoff is rapidly delivered underground through these conduits, resulting in a scarcity of freshwater rivers and streams in the Bahamas. During the last ice advance, sea level was 91.5 m lower than today, exposing the banks. This allowed plants and animals to arrive from the Greater Antilles, across the short gap from Cuba or Hispaniola. Some plants also arrived via birds and as flotsam, as is the case with mangroves. Thus, the majority of life forms are Caribbean in origin rather than North American.

Where can i get an underwater camera case like this: Link included.?
I'm going to the Bahamas on Saturday and I was going to order this underwater camera case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001C20816/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER I would order it online, but I'm afraid it won't come in time. But what stores can I buy something like that for a cheap price. Thanks!

You don't say where you are located, so that makes giving you a store name impossible. The Bahamas have plenty of electronic stores that are duty free and you just might find a case or a low cost waterproof camera for sale there.

Help!!! any input...I am so excited and extreamly happy yet I am scared and sick with worry!!!?
My FH was planning to purpose for 2 mos prior. However 2 days before his big day we found out he was being deployed back to Iraq for the 3 rd time. I was terribly upset and did not want to go out that Sat. for the big surprise he had planned with our 4 kids from our first marriages. We went to Laguna Beach Ca.( our favorite dive spot) and he asked me and all the kids on the rocks. I am so excited after 8 years of waiting but I am still so upset about the deployment.I always wanted to get married underwater in the Bahamas but now it has to be push up and the water here in Cali is cold.I don't know if I should settle a little for a beach wedding or just a quick trip to Vegas. At the time when you are suppose to be happy I am having a hard time smiling about it.Knowing he is leaving AGAIN. This doesn't sound normal does it.People ask me about the wedding and I start crying.I drove myself absolutely crazy the last time he was over there.....Help with any input ..please

The important thing is to know you love each other, everything else can be worked out. While the wedding itself is an important event, the details aren't nearly as important as who is there and why you're there. The two of you join as one for all the world to see and you're family and friends there to share your happiness and love. 30 years from now which do you think you would regret more, a wedding in less than your dream spot or the fact that you didn't get married because the timing wasn't perfect? Good luck and I wish you much love and happiness whatever you decide. Remember that nothing in this life is for certain so live life to it's fullest and enjoy every minute that you can because those spent in worry or unhappiness can never be relived differently. If the next thing you say to a loved one is the last thing that you ever say to them, make it count. Tell your future husband that we are all proud of him and you are all in our hearts and prayers. Love, an Army Mom By the way, my daughter married her soldier with five weeks to plan, the date was the weekend between basic and AIT. It was truely a magical day and she never looked more beautiful. Two weeks before their second anniversary he was killed by an IED on Memorial Day 2007 during his first tour of duty. God takes you when he wants to not when we are ready. In those two brief years they bought their first truck, a house just off post in Texas and created some truely wonderful memories. It's amazing to the rest of us how much life they packed into that short of a time. His only concern was that if anything ever happened to him, that she would be taken care of, thanks to the insurance, she will be and we all believe that he's in heaven right now helping to look out for her. Cherish every moment that you have with all of your loved ones for you can never know what the furture holds. Make all the happy memories that you can and pray that you have a long and happy life together to remember them and make more. May God bless you and yours.
